Op 13 juli is het zover dan is er het eerste Keizer Karelpark wijkfeest!
Een plukje buurtbewoners heeft de taak op zich genomen om dit te organiseren.
Simon Lutz vertelt: ‘Een buurtfeest voor alle nationaliteiten, voor jong en oud, met kraampjes, spelletjes, lekker eten en drinken, en met een podium waar talent uit de buurt kan optreden en afsluiten met een spetterende live act.
Al dit gebeurt bij het speeltuintje/sportpark achter de Montessori- en de Vrije school aan de Lindelaan/Hortensialaan.’
Er is een podium met in de middag concerten van verschillende bands en koren van kinderen, met name uit Amstelveen. Dan zijn er ook verschillende activiteiten voor kinderen o.a. een stoepkrijt-workshop onder leiding van een docent van het Cobra museum, hoe cool is dat? In de avond zijn er twee blues-bands met de spetterende slotact ‘Amsterdam Blues Company’
De hele dag is er eten en drinken te koop met Indiase, Chinese en nog een hoop andere lekkere gerechten.
Het feest begint om 14:00 uur en eindigt om 22:30 uur.

A neighbourhood party for all nationalities
On 13 July the first Keizer Karelpark neighbourhood festival will take place!
A group of local residents has taken on the task of organising it.
Simon Lutz says: 'A neighbourhood party for all nationalities, for young and old, with stalls, games, good food and drinks, and with a stage where local talent can perform and end with a dazzling live act.
All this happens at the playground/sports park behind the Montessori and Free School on Lindelaan/Hortensialaan.'
There will be a stage with afternoon concerts by various bands and choirs by children, especially from Amstelveen. Then there are also various activities for children including a pavement chalk workshop led by a teacher from the Cobra museum, how cool is that? In the evening there will be two blues bands with the smashing final act 'Amsterdam Blues Company'
Food and drinks will be available all day with Indian, Chinese and a host of other tasty dishes.
The party starts at 14:00 and ends at 22:30.
